Yushin
commercialized "RAII- a
-1300S-HS" as a new type of WEBLINER "RA/RAII-
a
-HS series" and started to receive orders by customers on September
24th when Yushin exhibited one at IPF2005 venue, Makuhari messe.
Yushin is the dedicated supplier of take-out robots for injection
molding machines, carrying the motto "Heartful Technology"(President
Mayumi Kotani, headquarters in Kyoto City, capital of 1.98566 billion
yen).
RAII- a
-1300S-HS, whose target clamping force is 1000~1600t, was developed
for extraction of large-size molded products such as automobile-related
products, home-electric appliances, housing-related products and
so on. And it can be installed in low-ceiling palnts by featuring
2-stage telescopic arm for shortening the robot's overall height.
The RAII- a
-1300S-HS demonstrates its prepotency in high value-added production
by offering increased rigidity of the robot frame to ensure smooth
linkage to downstream processes that require a high degree of positioning
accuracy, as well as high speed operation that effectively helps
to shorten molding cycles. Especially it targets on shortening take-out
time as a direct contribution to production efficiency. Users can
choose according to objective between a high cycle type that comes
standard with high power servo motors on both kick and vertical
drive axes, and an optional 3-axis high cycle type that adds a horizontal
traverse axis.
The high cycle type delivers a take-out dry cycle time (*1) of
1.30 sec and a full dry cycle time (*2) of 11.75 sec, whereas the
3-axis high cycle type cuts total dry cycle time to 8.80 sec.
In comparison with "VNII- a
-1300S-HS", the former type of high-speed take-out robot, it
cuts 17.2% take-out dry cycle time and 5.3% full dry cycle time.
And 3-axis type cuts 14.1% full dry cycle time.
This robot is equipped with E-touch Web controller as standard.
This controller is designed and built for exchanging production
information over the Internet or a LAN, as well as for managing
production from a remote location. Even with the former NETLINER
series, production management by networking the take-out robots
through LAN was already established, but it kept developed and now
managing production from a remote location over the Internet is
granted to be important for efficient management.
The E-touch Web controller has following features.
1. Equipped with the communication port necessary for networking.
2. Flexible and expandable functions realized by Windows-based operation.
(1)Data transmission via network
By connecting the robots to an in plant network, the operator
can copy and send teaching data directly to any similar robot in
the network. Messaging functions allows sending of data or information
to any similar robot or office computer on the network.
(2)Remote control
If remote control software is installed on the robot controller,
teaching data and programs can be transferred and updated over the
internet. This is an expandable function that allows future Yushin
service center to support customers recover from difficulties by
checking programs or offering other services.
(3)Note function
Using the supplied stylus, operators can note down on the controller.
Operators can also import images of molded products with an optional
USB camera, and make notes and add comments on them and store them
with the teaching data.
(4)Camera phone
If a USB camera is connected to the controller, the operator can
have a net meeting with any other remote person in management office
with a PC. The remote person can see conditions of molded products
or condition of defect. As well as Remote control function, this
is an expandable function that allows future Yushin service center
to support customers recover from difficulties by talking on the
phone or offering other services.
3. Equipped with software "Lead Through Teaching" that allows customers
to easily add and modify robot motion programs.
(*1)Take-out dry cycle time: It is the cycle time required to simulate
a part extraction operation with a robot simple substance. More
precisely, the simulated operation includes only extraction motion
from inserting a robot arm into molds to taking out products from
the molds. Stroke and timer used as the basis of dry-cycle calculation
are based on a standard specified by Yushin.
(*2)Full dry cycle time: It is the cycle time required to simulate
the whole extraction operation with a robot simple substance. The
whole operation means a series of motions such as extraction motion
from standby position, product release motion at a predetermined
position and return motion to the standby position. Stroke and timer
used as the basis of dry-cycle calculation are based on a standard
specified by Yushin.
