J-HOP:Compact Single-Axis Servo Driven Sprue Picker for Vertical Molding Machines
Concept
Compact robot for taking out runners from vertical molding machines
The J-HOP has an articulation mechanism driven by servomotors. The robot is much more compact than earlier models that were driven by air cylinders. As such, it requires minimal space to take out runners from vertical molding machines.
Features
-
Space-saving
Compact designDespite the J-HOP being less than half the length of earlier runner take-out robots, the maximum horizontal stroke from the center of the mold to the sprue/runner release position is 1,380 mm.
-
Stable high-speed operation
Servomotor-driven armThanks to the servo-driven articulated arm, the range that the J-HOP extends outside of the molding machine has been minimized, making room for a pulverizer or other peripheral equipment on the non-operator side of the molding machine. Moreover, take-out time is shorter than on earlier models.
